Orleans, and in engagements at Prot Hudson, Brashear City, Sabine Cross Roads,
Cane River Crossing, Alexandria, Governor Moor's Plantation, Yellow Bayou a nd
the Siege of Mobile. After the war was a druggist.

Otselic for some years, then with her family removed to Columbus, PA. From
there they settled on a farm at what was then called Hare Creek, now known as
Wheelock, PA. They purchased this farm from Corrin Stafford. It was heavily
timbered with pine and hardwood. They led a typical pioneer life. Often in dead
of winter when snow was deep they had to take their cattle to the hardwood
timber to feed on browse. All the actual money they got was by burning timber
and making salts from the ashes or shaving pine shingles. All of which had to
be haul;ed to Erie City by ox teams.

Mary married John Dutton. John died 1873 and was buried in Corry, PA.

located at Pine Valley near Bear Lake in Warren co. In 1846 he was married to
Angeline Doane of that place. He later moved to Hare Creek and settled on a
farm. Later he purchased the farm known as the Wheelock farm. A post office
was later established at Hare Creek and the name was changed to Wheelock for
the reason that the Government would not accept a post office name of two
words.
Quite late in life he moved to the farm next north known as the Carson Leach
farm where he resided until his death. BURIED: Wheelock Cemetery

Howard married Angeline Doane on 1846 in , PA. Angeline died 1910 in Wheelock, Erie, PA and was buried in Wheelock, PA.
