MA008 -Beth Eames Hodson 12 Jasmine St, Yarmouthport, MA 02675 writes on 9 Mar 1993, Mary Saint and DH married and had two daughters, Getrude and Molly Sears.

Gertrude m. Wm Hodson and they had three children, William, David (my
father-in-law) and Betty. DH died in the fall of 1952. Gertrude, age 90,
still lives in the house that used to be the ice cream store.

Dennis, Cape Cod, p 479, b., d. parents, in 1880 he began cranking out batches of ice cream and selling it to neighbors. He worked in the store of Charlie Underwood in South Dennis. In 1887 {his brother-in-law, Prince M} Crowell agreed to set D.H. up in business in a general store on Quivet Neck. The store was built on School street... D.H. was very highly regarded in his time as a cook. His baked beans and chowder base were equally famous. .. he was also a man active in community affairs, polite and cordial to all. He maintained the business in East Dennis right up until his death in 1952.
