S.P. May p.215 John Sears was a joiner, farmer, merchant and mill-owner.
He came to Knox from Winthrop and Sebago, moving into a new country, with but
a few scattering neighbors.
They had no roads but a track or spotted line through the woods, and kept up a
little communication with Winthrop.
