!DP Has his will and records death as 2 Jun 1858. Her aunt related that "Abraham" belonged to the underground during and after the Civil War, helping blacks get to Canada. He must have lived in Cayuga, Tompkins or Cortland co, NY. One time a black man stopped there with a little girl, whom he felt he could not care for. The Sears family kept the child and raised her after they helped the father to escape. Her name was Treen, she worked in NY but came back to the Sears home to be married and had two children.
