3373. Paul Sears Dr (Nathan , Paul , Daniel , Paul , Paul , Richard ) was born 5 Jun 1820 in Zanesville, OH. was buried in , 1287.

S.P. May p.382 Dr Sears was educated in Elyria High School, and Granville Coll,
OH; removed with his parents to Michigan in 1834; remaining until the spring of
1840, when he went to Mt Carmel, Wabash co., IL, his father having preceded him
a year.
He studied medicine with his father, assisting him in his office; entered Ohio
Med. Coll. in 1843, and received his diploma in 1845, when he commenced practice
in Mt Carmel.
Dr Sears is personally known in almost every household in Wabash and
surrounding counties; has had a large and lucrative practice, and frequently
rode 60 miles in 24 hours to visit patients.
He also kept a dry goods store, and engaged in other enterprises not
interfering with his profession; has been successful professionally and
financially, and bears the reputation of being an honorable, public-spirited
citizen, an honest man, and a kind-hearted, obliging neighbor.

Paul married Eliza J Gibson, daughter of Alex. Gibson and Martha Sturges, on 5 May 1841. Eliza was born 1820 in Cincinatti, OH.

3388. William Sears (Daniel , Enos , Daniel , Paul , Paul , Richard ) was born 17 Dec 1808 in Ashfield, MA. He died 12 Aug 1888 in Mt Pleasant, WI and was buried in , 1292.

S.P. May p.384 In November 1836, Mr Sears removed to Racine county, WI, and was followed the next year by his wife. He located upon the land in what is now the town of Caledonia, in which town they resided until 1870, when they removed to the house in Mt Pleasant, in which they died.
As in their earlier years, Mr Sears preceded his wife to the wilderness, she following him after a year's separation, to join in the trials, hardships and privations attendant upon the life of pioneers in a new and sparsely-settled territory; so now, after a year's separation, she has followed him through the dark valley to "that better country," to enjoy with him an eternity of peaceful rest. Mr and Mrs Sears celebrated their golden wedding in 1883, a rareceremony, which will long be remembered by those who were privileged to be present. Mr Sears was a member of the Old Settler's Society, and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. HIs wife was a loving and devoted mother, a kind friend, and a sincere Christian. Her children, friends, and neighbors, and fellow-members of Old Settler's Society, will ever cherish her memory as a fragrant of all that is pleasant and lovable. One brother survives her, Mr Alvin Ames of Chautauqua, NY and two sons and three daughters, with thirteen grand-children.

lives.
He was a considered a very reliable and respectable man, as were all his
brothers.
